The American Advertising Awards (the ADDYs) is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local AAF Ad Club competitions.
It operates as a three-tier competition: Local → District → National. Winning at your local club is the first step. District 10 winners then advance to the national competition.
Entering also supports the entire advertising industry through programs such as public service, internships, advocacy groups, advertising education, and consumer awareness.
A Gold ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence in a category. A Silver ADDY is given to entries considered outstanding and worthy of recognition. The number of awards is determined by judges based on relative quality.
The Student Division, sponsored by the AAF and Ad 2 National, is designed specifically for college students. Work entered at your local level can move up to regional and national judging — just like professional work.
Applicants must be enrolled full- or part-time in an accredited U.S. educational institution. Work must be created while the entrant is a student not employed in the advertising industry. Student interns are eligible.
Students may submit work developed specifically for this competition or from previous projects or student contests.
District 10 covers Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. As a member of your local AAF club, you automatically enjoy the benefits of District 10 and AAF National membership.
